Accessed from File Maintenance via the Inventory Menu
The Warehouse Maintenance option allows addition and revision of actual or virtual warehouses. Once added the warehouse will be made available for items to be added into the warehouse for sale or transfer. See the ITEMS option or Item Maintenance.
Viewing The Warehouse Option
1 - Lists all the active warehouses within the system. VIEW will display all warehouses both active and inactive. The central frame shows details related to the highlighted warehouse.
2 - Lists all the bin locations set within the highlighted warehouse. Select BIN LOCATIONS to obtain further options.
3 - Lists all items within the highlighted warehouse with some item and bin location details. Select ITEMS for further options.
ADD - Add a new warehouse.
REVISE - Amend an existing warehouse.
ACTIVE - Make the warehouse inactive.
VIEW - View all warehouses, active or inactive.
ITEMS - Access the Items frame for further options.
BIN LOCATIONS - Once activated, access is given to select, add, revise and delete bin locations within this warehouse.
REORDER - Lists all items within the warehouse and their re-order type. Revision of the re-order type can be made from here.
Adding And Revising Warehouses
Once ADD is selected the central frame is activated.
The short warehouse code and the warehouse name are required along with the address. This can be entered directly or selected by the postcode via the 
icon. (subject to availability). Once entered it is this address that will be shown on purchase orders for goods required for this warehouse.
Once entered the warehouse will be activated automatically.
If REVISE is selected access to the same frame is given with options as with ADD.
Adding And Revising Warehouse Items
By selecting ITEMS the warehouse item frame is activated and bottom function buttons change accordingly.
If ADD is selected all items that exist within the system but which are not currently available in this warehouse are listed for selection. Once an item is selected the process is the same as if the REVISE option and been selected.
The central frame contains the item details for the warehouse, all of which are available for addition or amendment.
