Accessed via Sales Maintenance from the Utilities Menu.
Sales Forecasts are set on a customer by customer bases. For each required customer an annual Sales Forecast is entered which can then be split down between the Financial Periods by various methods.
1 - Lists all Customers added to the Sales Forecast list with their total annual forecast.
2 - Shows the monthly Sales Forecast breakdown.
3 - List the automated Split Code options. These are used to breakdown the annual forecast into months.
ADD - Add a customer to the Sales Forecast list. Once the customer has been selected the Annual Value can then be entered and the Split code chosen. The Monthly breakdown of this figure is generated and available for amendment . REVISE - Amend the Annual Value and / or Split code. MAINT. SPLIT - Access the Split options from where new Splits can be added or existing ones chosen. REV. MONTHS - Amend the Monthly breakdown month by month. Any changes made will be reflected in the annual forecast. GO TO - Find a Customer.
Adding and Amending Split Codes
Once MAINT. SPLIT is selected the Split Code grid is activated. The options available are as follows:
ADD - Add a new Split Code. First the Split Code name must be entered, the monthly percentage split is now available. The default is 8.33% split over all 12 months, these can then be amended month by month but the total percentage must always equal 100. REVISE - Amend the monthly % split for the highlighted Split code. DELETE - Remove the highlighted Split code. GOTO - Find a Split code.
