Accessed from the Inventory Menu
Also available for replenishment use is Bin Location Replenishments accessed from the warehouse menu. This option allows the list to be selected by bin % full.
The Enquiry / Update on Bin Locations is selected by warehouse and lists all items held within that warehouse along with the picking and bulk bin locations allocated to them.
Picking Location - Is the location where warehouse personnel will be pointed to for securing stock for despatch.
Bulk Location - Multiple possible locations for holding large volume items unable to fit within the picking location.
During the despatch process the quantity shipped will be removed from the picking location. Therefore careful control on the bin location replenishment is required, as any items physically taken from a bulk location will still be shown as a reduction to the picking location. A picking location can go into negative if replenishment is not observed.
To maintain stock location accuracy, goods despatch should always be picked from the picking location and the Bin Location Replenishment option monitored frequently.
1 - Lists all items with in the warehouse selected along with the Picking location
2 - Lists all Bulk locations for the highlighted item along with the quantity held at that location.
3 - Shows:
The quantity On Hand for the item
The quantity within Bulk locations
The calculated quantity in the Picking location
The Maximum quantity that can fit within the Picking location
Therefore the Picking location percentage full
GOTO - find an item number
UPDATE BULK BINS - access the Bulk bin frame (2) for the highlighted item
AMEND PICKING LOC - Change the Picking location for the highlighted item
PICKING MAX QTY - Amend the maximum quantity for the picking location of the highlighted item
MAINTAIN BINS - This option is non item relational. It is the mechanism for adding, revising and deleting bin location codes for a warehouse. Once these codes have been added they are then available for use as picking or bulk locations.
Updating Bulk Bins
Once selected the highlight line will move to the Bin Locations frame and the function options are refreshed.
The Bulk locations are listed along with the quantities within each bin.
MOVE TO PICKING - This option allows a quantity from the highlighted bin to be moved into the picking location.
ADD - Enter an additional bin location for bulk.
REVISE - Amend the quantity held within the bulk location. Any amendment here will translate to the quantity held in picking.
DELETE - Remove the highlighted bulk location for the item.
RELOCATE - Enter another bulk location for the quantity to be held in, this will remove the starting bulk location from the item bin list.
