For those of us lucky enough to have grown up in the 80’s and 90’s, you will I’m sure, remember with fondness spending many an hour watching Richard O’Brien lead intrepid teams through the Crystal Maze.
Last week saw the Openda team follow in their footsteps with a surprise trip to London to compete in the illustrious Crystal Maze.
We worked our way through Aztec, Industrial, Futuristic and Medieval worlds collecting crystals as we tried our hand at physical, mental, skill and mystery games. Despite starting with a ‘lock in’, where we had to forgo our first crystal, we powered on through to collect 7 crystals. This granted us a total of 35 seconds in the dome to see how many golden tickets we could collect.
We must say a big thanks to our Richard O’Brien impersonator, complete with lycra, who led us around the maze and was kind enough to give us hints and tips as and when the team needed it! It’s fair to say that some of the games stretched our grey matter to the limit!
Ultimately glory was not ours as we were narrowly beaten by another team, but a great time was had by all and the festive season was off to a glorious start!
